| Greetings,
Yes Arondeslo posted a "reminder" and all, but I want to talk to you guys about some earlier history possibly, and moreover, the new programs/teams we're implementing.
Well, first of all, I installed my BF2 disc in. It was the Summer of 2009. I would play for awhile but then get bored. So, in my attempts for a Remedy, I started searching for some clans. I had no experience in REAL clans though, you could compare me to someone like...someone here who doesn't know what they should do...
The first clan I looked at was the one before I got my BF2 in and it was ECG 2010 - European City Grunts 2010. I didn't know there was such thing as clans for a specific region or anything though...soon after I realized it was dead. My findings led me to Fever clan. They had/have around 400 players and play all the hottest FPS games for PC like Call of Duty 4, Battlefield 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Modern Warfare 2, Bad Company 2, World at War, etc.
It was real nice at first, I signed up and put my app in and then I got in and got a handful of Visitor messages. (We have Visitor Messages but I don't know if anyone uses them) There were all sorts of people to high up Generals to Sergeants. I can remember 2 of those users who sent me a message. One was from Jehuty, a moderator at a RTS-sanctuary.com (Then, agesanctuary.com), who had recognized me he said. And one, from browning, who led me to get xfire.
Though, my knack for BF2 gaming was to have a Company-sized unit to be in 9 squads and be organized into Platoons. It started back in Fox Company back in my golden AOE3 days. There, the clans weren't much but in-game groups of people. I was doing a tremendous load of work recruiting members and having to explain what new members had to do each time. I was actually glad and relieved when someone, an officer in the clan, got mad at a game we had and later destroyed it. We had a BF2-typed organization for that clan.
Finally, I left Fever clan for some complications in it and then I started it up with SA_Osiris_. The first recruit...Zfinster. It was funny because he was on my friends of friends list at the time and I only had like 10 friends on xfire. The 2nd recruit...Save1bullet. He and zfinster were playing a lot at the time which was real good. He's still technically in the clan, but never got to join a BC2 360 clan like he had hoped. Anyways, save1bullet and zfinster also played Combat Arms. They got me to play with them and start up a branch for the clan there. I was so happy that our first organized squadplay in the clan was all 4 of us just playing together on Combat Arms. Then we started to play BFH because of save1bullet too.
Anyways, after the Xbearer incident, we changed our name to the 13th MEU, which was in November. November was probably the quietest month of all in our clan. Only 1200 posts were accumulated that month. But...we did recruit a few great players from November-December who turned out to start leading our first squads. The Deathdealers and the Falcons were our first squad. So, those squads have a lot of history in them as well.
That's just a wrapup of the first part of the Clan's history and all.
Anyways, glad you enjoyed that, and here are some new programs and teams we will be implementing:
Squad of the Month - This Squad of the Month (SOM) will be chosen and voted in and active members of this squad will receive a new patch for that month. New members to that squad get to wear the normal patch. This will be chosen by Squad attitude, attendance, gameplay, communication, etc. The winning Squad will be picked and will be shown on the first week of the next month by the News Team.
News Team - I will need a few people if you are interested in Journalism and such. I will be using the News Team to be more active in the Public Affairs Office to give reports on fun things like SOM, and some other ideas we had in mind.
Promotion and Awards Board - We are going to start this board off after a long-awaited establishment by some of our Squad Staff. (Again, I appologize) You guys get uniforms once you're in the clan. You get it hand-made by some of our Graphics Creators and you get to see which Ribbons you currently can boast upon.
Uniforms - Just request them to the PA board, usually Hoang or Spino Prime can give you one. (Correct me if I'm wrong)
But yeah guys, its great to see us live on for a full year today! I was planning on writing a bit more, but once we get the News Team organized, we can use them to reveal the other numerous routes we take on going!
If you want guys, you can also post times of your best and favorite moment in the clan. You can also post a time of your least favorite, though try to keep it together on this.
I'm proud of you all Ooorah! COL Bronx ____________________________________________________________________________________________ ✔ 1337 Posts13th MEU Command Element |

| I can't say that I have a favorite moment, but I love it when I log into XBL and see 12+ clan members playing the same game. When we get together, no one stands a chance against us. Its fun and yet frustrating when members of the OPFOR discover that they can't win and just leave. Leaving us of course to twiddle our thumbs for a while waiting for the next sucker to join the match. ____________________________________________________________________________________________ dtiger29 Drill Instructor |

| Hehe, I'm jealous of you guys D.
I think everyone in the BF Divsion should do something similiar. What if we made one big practice a few times a week instead of the small squad practices? ____________________________________________________________________________________________ ✔ 1337 Posts13th MEU Command Element |

| I have to say that the warlords were pretty dominant in our hay day on Bad Company 2. I think for 9out of 10 times we played we got the gold squad pin and hardly lost matches. Another favorite moment is when I was playing with duck and Pig and I decided to plant as Anit-Tank mines literally all over the panama Canal map. I think in total I destroyed 35 tanks in that one match. Great time great times |

| Thats what we did with BC2. I don't know of a single practice where it was all just one squad. The strength that we derive is from the fact that we are all 13th MEU, not just Apaches, Comanches, Seminoles, or Hunters. If we were to limit it to just the individual squads, we would not be near as successful.
Edit
Austynn, I cannot tell you how many of the 13th members have witnessed my maniacal laugh when I score a double, triple, or quadruple kill from mining that map and others. Its even better to see the vehicles go flying as they hit it. ____________________________________________________________________________________________ dtiger29 Drill Instructor |

| I've been in numerous clans for different games, and even was a founder for one, but I've got to say that the 13th MEU is the best clan I've ever been in. So I'd like to say a quick thank you to the leadership and the great members of this clan =) THANK YOU lol
Hmm favorite moment:
First server raid. Was great playing with members of different squads, and having ocean and fondu on the same side as me =)
Playing BC2 with the Apaches/Commanches etc. (they are all one to me). They have great teamwork and winning consecutive rounds gave a feeling of pride and accomplishment.
Funniest moment: A friend in the clan tries recruiting me into the 13th, even though I had been in it for 2 months at that time (I think it was bronx? lol)
Least favorite moment: The short time when our server was gone. It was so hard to find a server to host squad practice on. >.< ____________________________________________________________________________________________ |
