The 13th MEU has been a successful clan, a great clan and lets not forget the BEST clan. The clan has even got a play date coming up. You may be wondering what this is and how you can help. First off lets talk about what it is. The play date is meant for letting people know we exist and letting them try hands on what we are all about. On August 4th we are gonna be letting non-13th members join our games and our squads and let them see first-hand what REAL teamwork is all about. It will be about meeting new friends in a community that focuses on teamwork and kinship and showing them what the best of the best can do.


So you may be asking yourself "what can I do to help?" Well firstly you can sign up for the play date!! You can go there and help lead squads or play in squads helping non-members learn real team-work and how to join us. Can't make it to the play date? Think you can't help? Think again, even if you can't make it to the play date tell your friends!! Tell everyone you can think of, post on other forums get the word around and tell them to come and check us out!!


If you have any questions or need any help at all contact any of these fine members who have taken the time to try and make the 13th that much better and to help lead the play date.

thebronxbomber - "I think its a great way for the clan to reach out to others on Xbox Live and an awesome way to show what we are all about."


Doctor Sofa - "I think the play date is good publicity. Also, save Carmine!!"

Many other [13] MEU members share my sentiments and look forward to sharing our clan gaming culture with anyone interested in playing with structured team/squad tactics.

Planning such an event so far in advance has been a challenge. However, Xbox Tech support has been great at helping us adjust our participant list and announcement thread, to reflect squad changes.

Planning for the event and accommodating new friend requests has demonstrated the need for an improved "friend list function" for XBOX Live members. Some of our members have had to delete friends to add new members due to the 100 friend limit. I look forward to any future Friend list upgrades which will improve upon the Friend list functionality.

I would invite anyone to consider scheduling a XBOX Live Community Play Date for their clan."


Supahshyguy - "This community playdate is a great opportunity to reach out to a wide spectrum of players, being that our clan is non-discriminatory, we have a growing community of 900 and soon to hit a benchmark of 1000 members! This community playdate will not only let us be known for being a great welcoming clan but also perhaps the epitome of what it is to be a community of people who enjoy gaming to any degree. I feel that this community playdate will have a great impact on our clan because not only may we have prospective members attending our playdate, but it will also be a chance for us to see expand our knowledge of Bad Company 2.

Pardon my bias for Bad Company 2, but I am a loyal Bad Company 2 player and my career shows that I truly am. But this community playdate will give me a chance to also show and share my thoughts and tips in sort of a workshop-ish way to other gamers, which brings me to my last thought.

I stick to this clan because of the potential and togetherness I see. It isn't because of skill, K/D, or score per minute that we survive. If I have ever heard our clan's credo, I would think that it would go something like this, 'Excellence is not a skill. It is an attitude.' I believe that's what the brotherhood of the 13th MEU is all about. Its our fighting spirit that keeps me loving this clan to the very end."


Primalfury - "The playdate could do one of two things: send our clan to atmospheric new heights, or, if we dont play well, give our clan a bad reputation. The game is hard enough to organize as it is - throw in the fact that the entire xbox community will want to play in our games and now we are talking about a strategical nightmare."


Well that's what we of the 13th think of the playdate, so show some clan spirit and help the 13th recruit every possible member and show the world that the 13th is here and that we mean business!!

This is only for XBox Live and not the other 13th games?

XBL Community Playdate is for the 360 only. It's where a group or team signs up with XBL to play on a specific date to show off their workmanship as a team and what not.

There's plenty of things we could do for the other branches as well
